How commissioning me works:
1. Email me. In your email include what style of picture (woodcut, digipainting, etc) you would like and if you want a background, color, shading, etc. Also include a short description of what you would like me to draw. Be specific in what you want.
2. I’ll email you back and tell you whether I accept the commission or not. Depending on how busy I am or the nature of the commission I may, or may not accept it. Chances are I’ll be glad to do the commission.
3. If I accept the commission I will request a detailed description of what you’d like me to draw. If you have any pictures of the character/pet/person/place you’d like me to draw send one or two of them along with the description. (Note: If the detailed description includes anything that I feel uncomfortable drawing I will reject it at this point.)
4. After I’ve looked over the description of the character I’ll ask for payment. Once you have paid you’ll be added to the queue of people waiting for commissions. Commissions are done on a first come, first serve basis.
5. As I work on the picture I’ll send you work in progress updates. If you see anything you want changed tell me.
6. Once I’ve finished the image I will show you it and ask you if there are any final changes you want made.
7. After you approve of the image I’ll send you a high resolution copy of it.
Note:
- Don’t ask me for free stuff. I am going to say right here and now that I don’t take requests. Please, please don’t email me about it. You will not be the one exception to this rule. I don’t want to have to bicker with anybody.
- There are things I will not draw (porn, for example). I have every right to say ‘no’ to your commission if it’s something I feel uncomfortable drawing.
- If an image is particularly large or complex (Say, you want a two foot high poster with 25 of your characters sitting on top of the Empire State Building in a digipainted style) I will add on some additional fees.
- I am willing to do real media pieces and send you the physical art. Be aware though that these will be special commissions and will cost a lot more than the digital art.
All this sound good? Then just send me an email.
